this is:
EXTREME gardening !
EXTREME gardening !
With the food prices skyrocketing i thought i'd dig myself a little vege patch... Ofcourse little became BIG very soon ! The hill behind our house gets sun for almost all of the day and is the perfect spot to grow some veges this winter. Naturally it was completely overgrown with weeds and native bush , time to get the garden tools out and get stuck in ! Extreme gardening is extreme only if:
-You bleed.
-You think to yourself several times "this is too much,... impossible even!"
-You have no powertools to do the work for you.
-You exhaust yourself completely.
-You have fun doing it !
So far i have planted: 17 Borecole (dutch Boerekool or also known as 'Curly Kale'), 6 Cabbage and Coriander. I have sown in: Onion, Carrot and Peas. In my seedling trays inside i have: Leek, Beetroot and Cauliflower. All and all a good mix of our favourite veges ! I will keep you updated on how its growing and will be uploading more pictures as it all grows.
Now for the pictures of the creation of our vege garden:
Looking good! I hope the possums don't eat your boerenkool though ;)
