PROJECT CT110
After my nasty accident on the 250 i am recovering steadily and am even thinking about getting back on a bike. Unfortunately my 250 is still damaged from the crash so i had to find something else. And cheap. You know how slow insurance companies work but i do need some wheels to get to work when i am recovered so hence i was looking on the internet for a bike...
I noticed prices have gone up as bikes are becoming more popular over here. When i was younger i always rode Honda Mopeds and light motorcycles and i still have an SS50M (stored at uncle Rangi in Invercargill) so naturally i was keeping an eye open for a Honda Classic.
Then what did i find? In the Wairarapa i saw advertised a Honda Trail CT110 , a legendary bike used by farmers/postmen/asian prostitutes/park rangers for many decades. It was listed for $150. After texting the guy he offered it to me for $120 (i didnt even haggle!). So me and Katie off in our trusty Ford stationwagon , picked it up from a superfriendly (EVERYONE in Wairarapa is super friendly by the way, its farmer country so..) gentleman who had always looked after the bike well. I promised to him to restore it to its full glory. I have allready spoken to some mates who have the missing parts. It runs absolutely fine just a few little bits n bobs missing. It has 4 gears but also hi and low ratio gearing for getting up very steep terrain !! (for the experts)...
Anyway , have a look at the pictures and i will keep you all updated on the progress of
PROJECT CT110 !!
